i want a friend who won’t mind sitting downtown near the grand river with me for hours on end, eating cheap ice cream and throwing back espresso’s from cafe 13. someone who would listen to me blather about nonsense, then give me real, usable advice about my confusions. i’m concerned that none of my friends can tell me the truth. where is the person that is confident in our friendship; someone who won’t mind putting me down in the politest ways possible, then helping me improve. we all need that. i really need that. i need a friend here.
